On 5 February 2018, the ECSPM has been invited and will be taking part in a consultation meeting that the European Commission is organizing in Brussels, to discuss the new strategy on languages in education, drafted on the basis of the decisions taken at the Social Summit for “Fair Jobs and Growth”, hosted in Gothenburg on 17 November 2017. The Summit gathered heads of state or government, social partners civil society, students, leading experts and the European Commission to work together on well-functioning and fair European labour markets, effective and sustainable social protection systems and the promotion of social dialogue. The ECSPM will be represented by its president.
