Languages in Relation: Rethinking Education through Pluralistic Approaches
In sociohistorical contexts marked by increasing mobility, the diversification of linguistic repertoires, rising inequalities, identity-based retreats, and the weakening of democratic values and debate, pluralistic approaches to languages and cultures offer essential resources for (re)thinking education, language teaching, living together, and civic participation in our contemporary world. By fostering the (re)cognition of linguistic and cultural plurality, the development of critical thinking, and dialogue across languages, they contribute to the construction of more inclusive and equitable educational environments.
