A group of concerned academics prepared an open letter for the European Research Council, requesting that their current distribution of panels be modified to include within the current panels a section fully devoted to ‘Language/Discourse, culture and society’ that encompasses the social, cultural, educational, economic and political aspects of language. The ECSPM was contacted and took part in this action.
