The successfully organized conference entitled TOWARDS A MULTILINGUAL SOCIETY: THE VALUE OF TEACHING AND LEARNING HERITAGE, HOME, REGIONAL LANGUAGES FROM AN EARLY AGE, took place in a lovely building at the centre of the old town in València, Spain, on 24 May. Our member organisation –the European Network for Promoting Linguistic Diversity (NPLD)– that organised the conference, in collaboration with the Government of València, did excellent work and the presentations by invited speakers and NPLD members were inspiring and useful. One of the invited speakers was the ECSPM President Bessie Dendrinos. Her paper was entitled “Developing intercultural awareness and plurilingual-pluricultural competences in young children”. The conference presentations will soon be uploaded on the NPLD website.
